Flying Fishys

I want to share fun activities that I have enjoyed with my little boy and hope you and your little one(s) have just as much fun! The first activity I want to share with you is flying fishys! I can say this was definitely a fun activity but Parker (my son) enjoyed tearing up the fish more that actually flying them or watching me fly them! Haha! So you may call this a failed activity attempt but that's only if you talk about the success of the specific activity. As for it being fun...it was very successful!!
This is what the fish look like when ready to play and also the only two left after we finished playing! Haha

This is the after effect of the flying fish and a toddler!

So excited to play!

Yes tearing up another fishy!

Teaching Parker how to fly the fish!

So here is what to do for this activity...
Items needed for activity:
Paper or even old magazine pages if you want to save paper
Scissors
Ruler
Pen/Pencil

You will want to cut the paper into strips the length of the paper but only one inch wide. Mark a line on both ends of the strips of paper about one inch from each end and cut one end halfway across the line from the bottom and the other side cut half way across the line from the top. Bend the strip to make a loop and slide the slit ends together to hook the loop closed.

Now you have created your "fish." In order to make them fly you just throw them up into the air and watch them "fly" down! Hope you enjoy flying your fish one way or...like we did...another!
